If you ever talk to us in person and ask for epoxy you will often get a look of disgust. We will do it but we really try to hold back. The coins with epoxy can be difficult to get into a display because of their width which means your coin won’t get displayed. Epoxy also covers the beautiful design that you made. Sure this epoxy protects but if it scratches or turns a yellow color it’s not doing much for the coin is it. We strongly discourage the use of the epoxy…but you can still have your way. This coin has a coating of epoxy...

Pros:

  • None (I like to think so anyways)

Cons:

  • Covers the design
  • Scratches, Turns Yellow over time
  • Makes the coin to thick to stick in a display
  • Costs more and detracts from the coin

Like this says…we will do it if you want it, but don’t ask us if we like it or think your coin is cooler with it on it.
