I don't think I really need to put my opinion here because it would be obvious but browsing through the net I found this post. It had been a few days but I caught it tonight. Anyone wishing to voice an opinion please do...

Challenge Coin Association

He recently made a couple off the wall posts in the Challenge Coin Association eBay Group a couple weeks ago, that also made me scratch my head.  And one of the posts, I had to go in and edit, due to the advertising nature of it.  Not sure I have much else to say about his posts at this point.  I do like the way he comes off as authoritative.  I'd like to see him post something that people agree with though.  Give him time, we'll see where he stands on things.

It makes me wonder if his opinions are real or for the look value. I don't know him well enough to make a judgment, but you're right if you are new and didn't know better you would end believing him very quickly.

He made the point that he is an authority by saying he has made military coins...

I am a bit confused by the statement that die struck is cheaper.  Dies in the U.S. are extremely high... low cost is 250.00 a side and for extreme 3D dies you are looking at 800.00 plus easy per side depending on the design. I am using the U.S. as an example because I do not believe overseas mints actually do dies. Correct me if I am wrong.
So to me the die struck method does not seem to leave much room for his statement "highest markups".

Ya I think he was all over his statements so I don't know how to take him. Is he fishing for attention or is it something else? I really don't know. Maybe I should interview him or something Tongue

I will have to contact him. I only interview collectors only so somehow I doubt he will qualify. I am sure i can just quiz him on the other forum though.
