Orlando Army Recruit’s Issue the Recruit’s Coin PDF Print E-mail

The U.S. Army has a distinctive pride and obviously a huge force. With the accomplishments they have achieved in over 230 years of being a service it’s a no brainer when an enlistee says to his or her parents,” I would like to join the Army.” This is a giant step in anyone’s life to commit to such a career and risk everything to include their life. In today’s war torn world anything can happen and there is no sure bet on who is coming home and who isn’t, but one thing can be said…some of the bravest American’s are still seeing their Army recruiters to get out there and fight for their country.

For those Americans that are against the war, just remember these troops are out there doing a job for this country andActive Image with that kind of responsibility brings the certain little things like camaraderie, dignity, pride, and honor. These days there is something new for recruits that start joining up in Orlando; FL. SFC Eric Flores started a program based on challenge coins partnered with U.S. Challenge Coins .com. The idea was simply to give a challenge coin to a recruit that enlists as a token of the first step in becoming a soldier.

A challenge coin is a collectible for many veterans that signify the things they have done in their career, or even a token of appreciation from a commander. Though they may not be as popular as NASCAR, Football, cars, or whatever you would like to place in the blank they still have a home in any veterans heart. This is one of the ultimate symbols that lay in many display cases of foreign wars, high security jobs, or awarded for outstanding service.

Active Image This U.S. Army’s Recruits challenge coin is one of the most important challenge coins that the Army has enlisted into their team building toolbox. The U.S. Air Force has only one coin that comes close to the meaning of the recruit’s coin. The U.S. Air Force Airman’s Coin is given out during the last week of Basic Training at Lackland AFB, TX. This symbolizes their indoctrination into the USAF. The Army now has this coin as the stepping stone into a soldier’s career with the Army.

When you take an item like the Recruit’s coin, you have more than just a piece of metal. The seven values of the Army comes entwined with the coining process: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. We are proud of the steps the Orlando Army recruiters have take in giving something out that the men and women enlisting will be proud of after their time has ended in the Armed Forces.
