Inventory Sucks and I am Tired
Well I have been working on inventory all weekend. A lot of people have no idea what goes into bringing you new coins, patches, and pins. Most people think I has a whole office of people to do data entry…nope. It’s just me, and maintaining 1000+ items is no small tasks especially when you throw in the blogging, podcasts, articles, other websites and everythign else you want to add. This is not to pat myself on the back, rather to explain more about the inventory procedures.
in fact I have about 400 coins sitting here in the office (400 different) waiting to be uploaded so you can shop. Next week I have about 300 different new ones also not to include my custom coins coming in. By the end of 2007 we will boast over 1700 pieces of military collectibles. Now I will be honest we did get in a lot of lower grade coins that are mass produced. We are not thrilled about carrying them but we do offer them at considerably lower prices to move them quicker.
We did eBay for a few weeks and some of you got some great prices on those Christmas gifts. Now it’s back to normal though and eBay may be in the future once more before the big Holiday season. It was a temporary thing really. We are going to try to get a holiday sale here on the site for everyone though. Once we get back to normal in the search engines we will be doing a lot more in the way of the contests as well.
If you haven’t seen the Milipedia as of late you really need to get in there and check out what’s going on. We had a lot of entries this year and hopefully will get thousands more in 08′. A lot of this was off topic but I am allowed that since this is my blog. I am doing another podcast here shortly…maybe even a couple so look out for it and tell a friend if you like them.
