General Site Questions

Q: Is U.S. Challenge Coins a secured website?

A: Yes, our site uses 128 Bit-Encryption to protect your information. We are dedicated to protect against identity theft or putting your personal information at risk. Shopping on our site gives you the same protection as shopping on Wal-Mart.com or other big named websites. We want you to feel comfortable shopping on our site but we understand that sometimes people feel safer talking to a human over the phone. For those that would rather call, you may call us 1-888-700-7022 and we will gladly process your order for you. Being secure, safe, and as protected as possible is always in our best interest.

We keep it simple and for our internal records only. We have no vested interest or partnerships with outside parties. Any information not needed by our company is destroyed right away. Personal information is truly sensitive and we treat it as such.

Store Questions

Q: Where do the coins come from?

A: Our inventory comes from several avenues. Some we buy as runovers from some mints, some we buy in lots from people, and many we make for either customers that allow us to carry them or we design them ourselves. We don't have just one source which is why there are so many and variations.

Q: Are all you coins authentic?

A: Our coins are never copied from another company. We have enough talent on staff to come up with original and stunning designs. If you have doubt of the authenticity of a coin in our inventory then please don't hesitate to ask. There are times that coins do come in question and we understand that. We certainly don't want anyone copying and selling our coins and we have a strict policy not to do the same.

Q: Your coin prices are very high, why so?

A: We understand that many people feel the prices in the store are very high. We value our coins on several factors such as amount minted, uniqueness, category, size, material used. Using the value minted chart you can see that we grade our coins. We don't just make coins just to make coins. 60% of all our coins in our store have a 100-200 mint run. These are not stock coins like you will find on other sites like Northwest Terrirtorial Mint. These are coins actually being used in the field for the units they are made for. We firmly believe these prices will only increase as collector's items. On a good note, we do carry many that are not high priced and ready to ship and use.

Q: Ok I am having some trouble checking out, what can I do now?

A: Please, don't give up. Yes it's automated software and we are not denying your order. You came for coins and we want you to leave with those coins. If you can call us at 1-888-7022 or email us so we can do it for you. If you give up then when you have a minute let us know what happened. We can't fix things if we don't know there is trouble.

Custom Service Questions

Q: Why should I choose U.S. Challenge Coins?

A: You don't have to. We strongly encourage you to get several quotes for you project. We usually are the most inexpensive of all companies. We want to make sure you have had an opportunity to ensure you are getting a great deal. Other reasons to choose us can be anything from quality to customer service. There are only 2 other companies that we know of that can match the quality we produce or at least come close. Our price and end result usually seals customers for life and that's not opinion based. We have very strong relationships with companies like Lockheed Martin, Northup Gruman, Pentagon, U.S. Senate, and even Hollywood.

Q: What does U.S. Challenge Coins produce?

A: We produce custom challenge coins, embroidery patches and like products, keychains, lapel pins, belt buckles, clothing, and basically anything of that similarity. We have a wide arrange of products to choose from, you just need to use your imagination.

Q: Your prices don't match what your prices say on the site when I recieved my quote back, what gives?

A: We print true baseline prices. It's just not possible to provide an all encompassing chart for design variations. If you add an edge to a coin or embroidery something more than expected then we have to charge more because it cost more. In some cases customers have tried to calculate the end cost using our chart and it should be close, but your design changes that quote. All we ask is that you understand it's not a one size fits all.

Q: What is your shipping costs?

A: We use to break out shipping cost in our quote. It became routine for questions about the cost of it so we decided to incorporate it into the base price of the coins. Shipping is not free, it's just built into the unit price so it's easier to understand. If you need questions answered about the shipping just call and ask us. We charge actual shipping for everything we sell. We do not profit off of the shipping aspect at all.

Q: Can I request a sample product?

A: We currently do not offer samples of our coins. The value of our normal coins exceed that of what a sample coin would be. We are going to try to develop a sample coin in the future to allow this. Other companies do offer samples and we are aware of this. In time we will offer a developed coin that will show you in hand our quality. For now please reference the images in our store. We developed high quality images to assist you in your decision.

Q: Why is the finished product slightly different than the artwork?

A: Generally we don't receive difference and if we do they are positive and not negative. However, to cover us we say that there is about a 5% allowance between artwork and final product. We try to be perfect but in some cases there are unnoticeable differences. We have a 99.9% satisfaction rate since our inception.

Q: Do you do rush jobs?

A: As a rule of thumb we do not. We try not to accept them because deadlines are usually unreasonable and it puts us in an awkward position to desperately meet it. If we make an exception to take it on we do not guarantee any delivery time but we do give you a date that the product is expected to be finished and shipped. If you have a deadline that is less than 10 days from contacting us please understand we will have to decline the opportunity to work for you. We need at least 15 days lead time to ship coins out. APO/FPO delivery is at least 25 days out because we can't dictate speed for the military postal system.

Q: What mint makes our coins?

A: A secret mint buried close to the Earth's core. We do not share our information openly so our competitors can get a leg up on us. We utilize our own mint overseas due to the EPA regulations the U.S. has in place. We understand "Buy American" and we support that whole heartedly but if we stood by it 100% then we wouldn't be making coins. The majority of work, however, is done here in the United States.
